If you saw a cow in the middle of the freeway on your way home from work, what would you do? Chances are you would get over to the side of the road just in case an accident happened as a result of others not seeing it in time. Some of you may speed past it with the hopes it wouldn't move with the fear that if you pulled over early you might spend some time stuck in a sig alert.

Some people may immediately take action and call the highway patrol on their cell phones and report the cows whereabouts. And there is even a person that might just be dumb enough to get out and coax the cow to safer ground hoping that the cow will understand the waves from a driver and come running to the side.

But what would you do? I am thinking that a large majority of people would just wizz on by and remove the thought of a cow on the freeway from their minds hoping it was just a figment of their imagination.

But what if there was another solution (let me perfectly clear here and that is I am in no way recommending any specific course of action here, this is just to point out something)? I am thinking out loud here and it takes a bit of lateral thinking that might not have crossed your mind, and if it has I apologize in advance, but what about getting over to the side of the road at the most appropriate time and praying?

Now this latter course of action may be ridiculous to some, but then who better to solve this problem than God himself. You can take it to the Lord in prayer. He knows the solution even though it may slip your mind.

We live in a world where there is a solution when you least expect it. I would like to think this is God at work. It makes me think that there is a reason for things happening the way they have been and a reason for all things no matter how ridiculous they may seem at the time.

Life is like a puzzle and no matter how close we think we are to having all the pieces and solving it, the pieces take on a new unexpected shape and form the beginnings of another puzzle that may or may not need your attention. How you determine if it needs your attention or not is based on how good you feel after a prayer that it is the right thing to do.

Some people may disagree with this stating that it isn't Gods responsibility to give us a "happy feeling." But then this presupposes that God may not want us to be happy at a given moment. I believe He wants us to be happy if we will allow ourselves to seek His guidance as frequently as possible which should be at any given moment in time.

But then we need to learn to discipline ourselves to seek and find the solutions that God gives us every day if we ask for them. Then we need to either interpret them or ask God for additional guidance.

Prayer: Dear Lord, sometimes the solution to a problem eludes me. I wonder sometimes wonder why things happen the way they do. It is at these times that I need to look to you for guidance, but I forget. At these times, please remind me that you are there for me always. Thank you for all your many blessings. Amen.

Benediction: Now, Lord, Bless us in our daily lives. Help us to smell the roses whenever possible, to shine our light on those less fortunate than us, and lead us in the path we should go. For you are the light that keeps our path well lit. Help us to follow it, until we meet you, in a land where milk and honey abound, a place where our most wonderful dreams are fulfilled. Amen.

Hi, my name is Bryan, a messenger of hope who would love to hear from you. God Bless.
