I see the world in so many different lights sometimes. There are those that confuse us into thinking that the atrocities they throw our way are somehow our fault. That we are were worthy of the pain and misery that they caused us. But yet these same people have a deep seeded amount of guilt or remorse or an evil nature that permeates their existence to the point where they need to throw out into the open their grief in the form of aggression towards others

It reminds me of the popular phrase, "Misery loves company." There are those that have a lot of grief and pain in their lives and lashing out at others does no good. It only makes that other person cry out at the world for another injustice or just scurry away into the black hole of the mind.

But retreating into ourselves does no good. We can feel all the pity we want for our circumstances and even bring others down in the process, but the only thing we accomplish is making ourselves more aware of our own inadequacies. Then like some vicious cycle we lash out only to start the cycle all over again.

Sometimes life is a series of vicious cycles with different lights and different perspectives. This is a time when we need to pray to God for guidance so that He can give us the insight we need to discern right from wrong. From the immoral to the moral. We need to not dwell on our inadequacies to the point where others get hurt. But yet we as a human race often have this built-in mechanism where we defend ourselves any way we see fit.

God has all the answers. He knows how you feel. After all, he has witnessed human kind for millions of years and has seen the destructiveness of our ways of thinking. He has seen it again and again. He has seen an infinitesimal amount of monumental mistakes that humans have made and he can take that experience to help us enormously. But here is another thing to consider here, he knew all these mistakes were going to happen and when even before the human race occupied this planet.

What this means is that God has an endless wealth of references towards the understanding of the human race and why we do the things we do. So because of this, He is like the ultimate counselor because His knowledge base is infinite. It has no starting point and no ending point, it just is. So when we are faced with the trials and tribulations of life we can go to God in confidence that He has all the answers.

We go through life trying to make sense of who we are and why we are who we are. Quite often it does not make sense. Trying to make sense of it may be impossible. But is it your place to make sense of it? Or do we put our faith in God and just go with what He has in store for us?

So, in other words, instead of trying to figure life out ourselves, we may try putting our trust in God to help give us at least some understanding. This can be achieved through a lasting relationship with God.

But yet the question becomes, "How long do I have to wait before God gives me an answer?" Now some preachers would say that God answers your prayers in His time. But it may take a long time and that may be because we are not listening. I mean if you are ask somebody something, wouldn't you listen for the answer? Or would you just walk off and wait for them to come to you to give the answer? Definitely not if you are in earnest of acquiring an answer.

So we need to spend time listening for the answers. In this way, treat your heavenly father the way you would your earthly father. If you asked your earthly father a question, would you walk away before he has a chance to answer you? I would think not. You would wait for a response. By the same token you also need to listen for God's answer and not be in such earnest to just pray and go.

Seek God's guidance often and you will reap the rewards that He gladly gives to you.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for listening to what I have to say in prayer. Please remind me to spend time listening to you. Help me to realize that you know everything and that coming to you will help me and those around me that are affected by your love. And thank you for all your many blessings. Amen.

Benediction: Now, Lord, Bless us in our daily lives. Help us to smell the roses whenever possible, to shine our light on those less fortunate than us, and lead us in the path we should go. For you are the light that keeps our path well lit. Help us to follow it, until we meet you, in a land where milk and honey abound, a place where our most wonderful dreams are fulfilled. Amen.

Hi, my name is Bryan, a messenger of hope who would love to hear from you. God Bless.
