March 28, 2004 | Link To Us | Index This sermon is for your spiritual edification and to spread a little hope and cheer. Matthew 19:17 "When you call me good you are calling me God," Jesus replied, "for God alone is truly good. But to answer your question, you can get to heaven if you keep the commandments." TLB

What do you get when you cross a tadpole with an ostrich? Good question. Life is full of good questions. Some easy to answer, others not so easy to answer. But all questions can be answered if we have a lasting relationship with God on a daily basis.

What kind of questions do you have for God today? Are you wondering about your relationship with a significant other? Or maybe you have a question related to your job and whether or not you will get that promotion you feel you deserve. Whatever the question may be, take it to the Lord in prayer and watch the rewards of Gods love come permeating themselves into your life like a waterfall spilling over the rocks of your mind and into a cool stream that flows through your conscious mind feeding you with understanding and truth.

But what about other questions? Take them to God and just see what happens. That is the truly wonderful thing about a lasting relationship with God. He can answer so many of your questions and the realization that God can make your life better can be so overwhelming at times that you find yourself crying, not because you are sad, but because God's love is shining through you like a refreshening rainbow through your heart, gladdening you with a great joy.

But remember this well. You can't have a good relationship with God unless you are willing to take the time to listen what He has to say. Praying is a great start, but like all races, getting over the finish line in first place may be one of the greatest feelings known to mankind. So in order to finish in first place you have to listen to Gods answers to prayer.

To listen, you need to open your mind to the possibilities. Write some words or feelings that you have after prayer. Let God talk to you through your fingers either onto paper or into a keyboard journal that you might have. Let the words flow from your mind. It might be gibberish, but then you might have real messages that you may want to read over again to make sure that they are words that may be giving you answers.

What is it about life that troubles you? So do you take it to the Lord in prayer to find answers or do you let your mind get infected with depressing thoughts? If you're getting infected rather than enlightened, take another approach to life. Try relaxing and let your mind think of God and thoughts of salvation. Think of Jesus sitting next to you on the beach with the sun lighting your world and the coolness of the sand coupled with the low waves crashing against the beach lightening your stress load in your life and the warmth of Jesus' embrace easing your troubles and making you feel loved.

So take you troubles to God and let Him ease your pain and fill your life with love.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for blessing me in so many ways. Thank you for listening to me and help me to understand how you communicate your answers to me. Guide me in this coming week, Lord. Amen.

Benediction: Now, Lord, Bless us in our daily lives. Help us to smell the roses whenever possible, to shine our light on those less fortunate than us, and lead us in the path we should go. For you are the light that keeps our path well lit. Help us to follow it, until we meet you, in a land where milk and honey abound, a place where our most wonderful dreams are fulfilled. Amen.

Hi, my name is Bryan, a messenger of hope who would love to hear from you. God Bless.
